Overview

This concept explores what an indie film poster could look like when driven more by atmosphere, symbolism, and visual identity than by conventional blockbuster styling. The goal was to create a piece of key art that feels cinematic, mysterious, and rooted in the natural world.

Creative Goal

I wanted the poster to feel striking and story-rich at first glance, using bold colour, dramatic contrast, and nature-inspired imagery to create a sense of intrigue. The visual direction was built to feel more expressive and collectible than a standard film one-sheet.

Visual Takeaways

The final poster balances bold character illustration with strong typographic hierarchy and environmental storytelling. The result is a piece that feels both cinematic and stylized, while showing how illustrative key art can create a stronger emotional hook than generic film advertising.

Striking Visuals:

Utilize bold and vibrant colors, capturing the essence of the film's natural settings and themes. The visuals should evoke a sense of wonder and curiosity.

Iconic Nature Imagery:

Feature key elements from the movie, whether it's a specific landscape, a symbolic animal, or a natural phenomenon, to create a visual connection between the audience and the film's subject matter.
